The International Young Talents Contest has been held for 15 years in a row. The contests was unusual this year as because of COVID-19, it was held online and aired on the 4th of October from the Broadway theatre. The members of the jury, who were unable to attend the Broadway Theatre due to flight restrictions, discussed and evaluated the performances using the Zoom platform.
The competition was very popular and was open to those participants who were usually unable to attend live performances due to distance or young age. 166 contestants from England, Lithuania, Latvia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Finland and Venezuela took part in the competition. A total of 25 performances were presented. Contestants competed for the winners awards in the categories of vocalists, dancers and instrumentalists in two age groups (5-12 and 13-18). The winners of the categories and the winner of the International Young Talent Competition were awarded prizes and diplomas. Commemorative medals were awarded to all contestants.
The goals and objectives of the competition were achieved. The results exceeded expectations: there were wider opportunities for communication and cooperation, the geography of the participants expanded and the organizers received a lot of positive feedback.
The International Young Talent Competition 2021 is scheduled for May 23rd.
