There was a European Dance Championship 2019 that took place from the 18th to 22nd of April this year. This championship is taking place for twenty years in a row and attracts many dancers from a lot of different countries. This year there there was 660 participants from 15 countries (Ireland, England, America, Belgium, Brazil, Estonia, Italy, Spain, Gibraltar, Mexico, Israel, South Africa, Portugal, Finland, Sweden). Eight dancers from our school also took part in this championship.
During the four days of the championship, 227 dances were delivered. It was a great possibility to see stunning dance performances presented by dancing academies, dance colleges, dance schools and dance teachers.
This year it was the first time that our dancers took part in this championship. This Championship has impressed us not only with wonderful performances, flawless organization, great living conditions. During this championship not only vast experience was gained, but our dancers have also won two awards.
EC Lighthouse dancers won third place in different style dances category and a special Catalan prize for exceptional, elegant performances and they also become first-class winners in this category.
We are very proud of our students and we are very happy with their awards.
