Supplementary Schools programe: Reawakening Rome (dance performances)

The aim of the supplementary school programme at the British Museum is to establish new relationships and strengthen existing ones with supplementary school groups and to ultimately support young people and their wider communities to independently acces the British Museum and its permanent collections.

As part of the „Exploring Objects, Sharing Cultures“ project dancers from EC Lighthouse took part in a dance project and responding to objects from the Roman collection, created a dance piece examining the interconnected stories of Julius Caesar, Cleopatra and Mark Antony. All of the movement in this piece has been choreographed by the dancers themselves, and brought together over three sessions.
